FS-17 and FS-19 Public Hearing Meeting Minutes
Mr. Karson welcomed the attendees and noted that since no members of the public were present for the summary presentation, he would immediately open the public hearing portion of the meeting. Mr. Karson then opened the public hearing portion of the meeting by stating that the official record was open. He also mentioned that he would be the hearing officer for the evening. He then explained that the purpose of the hearing was to accept oral comments, testimony, and written comments on the Proposed Plan for FS-17 and FS-19. He indicated that all comments and testimony given would be transcribed verbatim and become part of the official record on this project. Mr. Karson explained that a response would be provided to each and every comment in the form of a Responsiveness Summary, which would be issued after the close of the public comment period, and would be attached to the Record of Decision (ROD), the final decision on these two sites. Mr. Karson announced that the floor was open to comments on the Proposed Plan for the FS-17 and FS-19 sites. No comments were offered. Mr. Karson again called for any comments to be offered. Again, no comments were offered. Mr. Karson then closed the official record for oral testimony, and stated that written comments could be provided through January 8, 1999. |
