MMR Ashumet and Johns Ponds Informational Update

Massachusetts Military Reservation, Cape Cod: Officials from the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) will hold an informational poster session to update the public about Ashumet and Johns Ponds and MMR related cleanup work. Informational updates on the Chemical Spill 10, Storm Drain 5, Fuel Spill 1, groundwater plumes, the Quashnet bogs, the Storm Drain 2 project and Ashumet Pond and the planned phosphorus inactivation project will be presented on posterboards. A Representative from the US Geological Survey also will be available to answer questions from the public. The meeting will be held in an informal setting, allowing for direct interaction with AFCEE project managers, program engineers and scientists.
