Plume Cleanup Team Members Presented with Recognition Awards

MASSACHUSETTS MILITARY RESERVATION, Cape Cod, Mass. —Officials from the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) announced today that recognition awards were presented to citizen from the Plume Cleanup Team (PCT) last night at the Coonamessett Inn.

PCT members were recognized for their volunteer efforts serving as liaisons between the four Upper Cape communities and the Installation Restoration Program (IRP), which is the groundwater cleanup program managed by AFCEE at the Massachusetts Military Reservation (MMR).

“The members’ efforts in contributing ideas, providing advice, and sharing information with the residents in the affected communities have helped with the Air Force’s groundwater cleanup program. We thank members for their dedication and involvement in restoring the Upper Cape’s future drinking water and protecting public health.” –Jonathan Davis, Remediation Program Manager. 

Representatives of the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) were pleased to provide plaques to the following members:
