Air Force Public Meeting in  Bourne

MASSACHUSETTS MILITARY RESERVATION, Cape Cod, Mass. Officials of the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) announced today that the Plume Cleanup Team (PCT) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Bourne Best Western, 100 Trowbridge Road, Bourne.

 

The PCT is a citizen advisory team that provides advice to the regulatory agencies and the AFCEE Installation Restoration Program (IRP).  The IRP is responsible for groundwater and soil investigation and cleanup that is, in most instances, on-and-from the southern portion of the Massachusetts Military Reservation (MMR).

 

The main meeting topics are:

  • Peters Pond Update, related to the issue of perchlorate in a private well in the Town of Sandwich

 

  • Source Areas Update

 

  • When are we Done?

 

  • Costs of Cleanup

 

A discussion period will follow each agenda presentation.
